Warwick-- Former Warwick Police Chief Sedric Carithers has been indicted for theft. He's charged with stealing money that was supposed to fund a city program.
Last week, Carithers was indicted for writing checks to himself out of an account that contained grant money for a youth program. He's charged with six counts of theft of city funds.
Carithers was the Warwick police chief for about two years, until he was asked to resign last February.
