Fitzgerald- Perdue and the One Georgia Authority Board met at East Central Technical College in Ben Hill County Tuesday, an area that will benefit from two separate awards.

The first is a $200,000 grant for Fitzgerald Paper Converting, LLC. The second is a $500,000 loan for the construction of an incubation center within the Millennium Technology Business Park.

"We want to say thank you to the governor and One Georgia Authority for being able to see that we're doing what we need to do to bring jobs to our people," says Fitzgerald mayor Gerald Thompson.

Americus Sumter Payroll Development Authority will get a $354,000 loan to purchase new equipment for the Americus Bean Company. Tift County Development Authority will get a $500,000 loan to help support Tifton Quality Peanuts. Another $500,000 loan will go to the Miller County Development Authority to help fund the construction of a private film, video and television production company.
