Albany-- The man accused of murder in Albany was extradited from Alabama Friday. Thirty-one-year old Oscar Ingram was arrested in Eufaula on Wednesday.
He is charged with the murder of his uncle's girlfriend, 47-year-old Shernita Sloan. She was found stabbed to death in her Mercer Avenue home Monday night.
Police say Ingram confessed to the murder and is being cooperative.
Sgt. Hall of the Albany Police Department said, "He was upcoming and upforth, showing a lot of remorse."
Sloan had been stabbed in the neck.
