Colquitt County- Sixty-four year old Patricia Shepherd owns land in north Colquitt County. Deputies say she and a friend were out looking for historical artifacts.

Shepherd found a tea cup at the bottom of an old well. When she tried to shovel it out, she fell into the well.

"It was approximately ten feet and it was at a slanted angle. She was able to get back up and get on the side of the well. Her head was probably a foot below the ground, two feet below the ground," says Deputy Shawn Bostick of the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say she had visible injuries to her head and arm. She was treated and released from Colquitt Regional Hospital
