Rooftop burglar strikes South Georgia business

January 10, 2005

Thomasville - Sears in Thomasville was broken into through the roof Saturday night, and $1500 was taken. Police say business owners should invest in a good alarm system.

Sgt. Rachelle Denmark with the Thomasville Police Department says, "It's always good to stay on guard because you never know when someone's going to strike, whether it's external or internal, we've had a lot of external, but you never know when somebody's going to try to get in your business and get something that doesn't belong to them, whether it be merchandise or money." Police don't have any suspects.
