Say no to credit, yes to savings

January 5, 2004

Thomasville - If you put too many purchases on your plastic this holiday season, you're not alone, but there are ways you can prepare now to avoid those charges in the future. Start a savings account specifically for Christmas purchases at your bank or credit Union.

At Rose City Credit union in Thomasville, they sent out checks for more than $600,000 in November, all to go towards buying presents. Bryant also suggests savings accounts for other big spending occasions like vacations, holidays, and income taxes.
