Columbus-- Thousands of Ft. Benning soldiers will be deployed this month. The soldiers with be honored at the Doughboy Stadium on Friday.

Nearly four-thousand 3rd Brigade soldiers will deploy in this month. Eighty soldiers with the 36th Engineer Group will leave after the ceremony is over.

Post commander Brig. Gen. Benjamin Freakley and Georgia's Gov. Sonny Perdue will address the soldiers, their families and friends. Country singer David Staton is scheduled to perform a 90-minute concert.

The four-o'clock ceremony and concert on Friday is open to the public.
