Flu shots are here

January 4, 2004

Albany - Flu shots are now available in south Georgia.

There are nearly 800 child vaccines and nearly 1,700 adult vaccines at health departments and district pharmacies in a 14 county region.

The CDC recommends those who are 50 and over, people with health problems and people who take care of high risk patients should get a flu shot.

January and February are typically the worst months for flu outbreaks.

The flu season usually ends in March.
