Waycross - A South Georgia town is mourning the loss of its police chief.
Waycross Police Chief James Blackburn died of lung cancer Sunday. He'd been with the department for 36 years, serving as police chief since September of 2000.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at Second Baptist Church, with burial at Oakland Cemetery.
