Georgia General Assembly will put the use of seatbelts in trucks on the agenda.

December 28, 2004

Albany--Pick up trucks are exempt from the mandatory seatbelt law in Georgia, an exemption related to farm use of trucks. A bill has already been filed seeking to do away with the truck exemption.

Legislators can pre-file bills even before the session convenes. The 2005 session of the Georgia General Assembly convenes January 10th in Atlanta and runs for 40 days. The session usually ends in March depending on how many days they are in recess.
