Albany - The lowest price of regular unleaded we found in Albany is about $1.60. The state-wide average is $1.67 and nationally, $1.79.
Melissa Turner just moved to Georgia from North Carolina. She says the gas prices were a great surprise. "Definitely pleasantly surprised," says Turner. "I guess Albany is the same as Augusta and Atlanta, 'cause I know Atlanta is supposed to have the cheapest in the nation."
Although the prices are down about 15 cents from last month, last year at this time the average price of regular unleaded in Albany was just a $1.34.
