Last minute shoppers deal with stress

December 22, 2004

Lee County-With Christmas right around the corner, nerves are running wild as people rush to buy last minute gift items. "I'm mostly excited because I haven't done much Christmas shopping," explained shopper Neller Cratic.

Last minute shopping has put some huffy faces on people trying to get through line. Beverly Presley says "I have been totally stressed out." Some shoppers have found a way to deal with that stress. Shopper Annie E. Burney suggests "talking to some of friends to come on with me and do this last minute shopping," and some have just got the right idea. "Patience, Joke with everybody. Give everybody something to smile and laugh about. It's holiday time. Spread a few cheers. That's it. There's no need in getting upset," said shopper Carlton Arnold because no matter how upset you get the lines aren't getting any shorter.

It's also a good idea to shop well rested if you can, and don't try to take on the on crowds on an empty stomach.
