Lake Park - Some South Georgia youngsters are enjoying Christmas break at a holiday camp.

About 45 Lowndes County students took part in the Life Steps Christmas camp in Lake Park Monday. The two-day program is put on by King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church each year and teaches children the true meaning of Christmas.

"The primary reason for the camp is to give kids a chance to come out and have a good time and recognize the meaning of Christ during the Christmas holidays," said James Wright.

The children also had a birthday party for Jesus, made Christmas tree ornaments, and took part in various recreational activities.
