Valdosta - Hundreds of South Georgians will have a warm meal this Christmas thanks to a local homeless shelter.

New Horizons and Hope for the Suffering Ministries are hosting their third annual Christmas dinner giveaway Tuesday.

They'll be handing out 250 bags filled with a ham and canned goods to anyone in need. The only requirement is that you have children and a picture i.d.

"Families struggle a lot with getting presents and a lot of times Christmas dinner is the last thing on the list and we want to be able to provide the community with that," said Angela Barker, Organizer.

The Christmas dinner giveaway starts at 2:00 Tuesday at the New Horizons shelter in Valdosta.
