Valdosta - It's time to light up a life and help a local organization
The South Georgia Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary and Foundation are displaying the "Love Light Tree".
This years project is to raise money for the new Hospice House.
"If they can no longer stay in their own home for any reason weather their equipment be too large or they need twenty-four hour round the clock care. They need a facility where they can be cared for twenty-four hours other than their home and still be under the care of Hospice of South Georgia," said Elizabeth Vickers, South Georgia Medical Center Foundation Director .
The new hospice facility is expected to cost 2.5 million dollars and take 18 months to build.
