Albany- Albany Bars will get the chance to stay open later beginning early next year.
Tuesday night, city commissioners agreed to extend alcohol serving hours on Saturday nights until 2:55 a.m. The bars must be closed by 4 a.m. That goes for all other nights of the week too, except Sundays.
"I think for working people, for young people the two nights they typically go out and enjoy themselves are Friday and Saturday night and this just extends the hours of operation on Saturday night," said Commissioner Bo Dorough.
