Phoebe lights show love for cancer patients

December 13, 2004

Albany- When you see the Christmas Tree lights at Phoebe Putney, you know each light represents money to help cancer patients.

The Junior Women's Club in Albany celebrated the lighting tonight, along with reaching the million dollar mark with their fundraiser during the past 22 years.

"It means so much for the community involvement. Each year we're just totally surprised and blown away by how generous people can be," said Nancy Lee, president of the Junior Women's Club.

Many of the people who donate, give in honor of a loved one lost to cancer.
