Thomasville - Christopher Tyrone Jones of Meigs surrendered to Thomasville Police officers Friday. Investigators say the victim reported the assault quickly, allowing them to gather more evidence.
Captain Troy Rich says, "When somebody is sexually assaulted, raped, it's important for them to report immediately, that way we can respond and gather, collect, preserve any evidence that will help prosecute the case." Jones was denied bond and is being held in the Thomas County Jail.
