Albany -- One of the leaders of Albany's art community is memorialized by her friends at the museum she helped develop.

Close to one hundred people attended the remembrance ceremony for Eloise Haley at the Albany Museum of Art. Haley died December 4th at age 84.

She and her late husband Banks Haley were instrumental in starting the Art Museum in the 1960-s, and leading its growth. Bee McCormack said "She certainly appreciated all the arts in a very special way, and was knowledgeable of them all. Those of us who worked with her will surely miss her."

The remembrance ceremony was held in the Banks Haley Gallery, named for her late husband. They set up a foundation to continue support of the Art Museum.
