Thomasville - The South Georgia Performing arts group performed for school children from Thomasville, Cairo and Moultrie. The dance company is performing the piece in collaboration with Victorian Christmas.

Director Alison Bundrick says, "It's just a tradition. A lot of people say it's not Christmas until you've been to see the Nutcracker. It's a magical show, it's about the spirit of Christmas. It's a little girl's special dream and it's just a great way to kick off the holiday season."

There are two showings of the Nutcracker this weekend at the Municipal Auditorium in Thomasville. You can see it tomorrow night at 7:30 or on Sunday at 2:30. General admission tickets are $8 each.
