Dougherty County -- Police say a South Albany man shot one of his customers at what they say is an illegal liquor house.

Sixty-eight -year-old Anderson Curry was arrested at his home in the 400 block of Ebony Drive Monday night and charged with aggravated assault.

Investigators say Curry got into an argument with 45-year-old Freddie Stokes and shot him in the hand with a .22-caliber pistol. Stokes was treated at a local hospital and released.

In a separate incident, a South Dougherty County man was robbed early Tuesday morning in a home invasion.

Freddy Smith told police that at 3:30 AM two men woke him in his mobile home at Paradise Village on Holly Drive. One man was armed with a knife.

Investigators say his backdoor was pried open. Smith was tied up, his wallet, money, and 2002 Pontiac Grand Am were stolen.

He managed to free himself and call police about 5:30. No arrests have been made.
