VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) _ Valdosta State advanced to the Division Two national championship game for the second time in three years as Fabian Walker passed for two touchdowns to lead the Blazers past West Chester, 45-to-21, today.
Walker completed 24 of 28 passes for 212 yards and did not throw an interception, and Vincent Brown rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, for Valdosta State, now 12-and-1.
Valdosta State will play undefeated Pittsburg State in Florence, Alabama, next Saturday for the Division Two championship. Pittsburg State beat North Dakota 31-to-19.
Valdosta State led 31-7 at halftime, as Brown scored on two eight-yard touchdown runs. Valdosta State pulled away as Walker scored on a 19-yard run less than a minute into the final quarter and Tyran Robinson added a 3-yard touchdown run.
