Valdosta - A South Georgia United Way chapter is hoping last minute donations will help them meet their annual goal.

This year's Valdosta-Lowndes United Way campaign officially ends Tuesday, but they're still accepting donations until January.

So far they've raised about $960,000 of their 1.2 million dollar goal. And they're still waiting on donations from some of their biggest contributors.

"We still have some large supporters out, that would include the city and county government, VSU, and a lot of our large industrial businesses around town," said Leigh Tolbert, Campaign Director.

This is the 50th anniversary of the Valdosta-Lowndes United Way.
