Fitzgerald- Former Fitzgerald High School principal, David Mims, is one of eleven former educators fighting to get back their teaching licenses.

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission voted in July to revoke the licenses. The commission says the educators knowingly accepted pay raises after obtaining phony advanced degrees from an on-line university based in Liberia.

The state Attorney General's office says the teachers now are appealing that decision. Mims has maintained that he legitimately earned his degree, but resigned in July.
