Child porn trial takes Thanksgiving break

November 24, 2004

Albany -- The child porn trial of a former Lee County High School teacher will take a Thanksgiving Break.

The final defense witnesses testified on day 7 of the trial. Then the jury was excused until Tuesday.

37 year old Michael O'Keefe finished his testimony. He is charged with distributing child pornography. O'Keefe said he was gathering evidence to fight child porn on the Internet.

A Forensic Computer Examiner from California testified that he found indications hackers had broken into O'Keefe's computer, but could not trace them.

Tuesday the jury will hear closing arguments and the Judge's instructions, then begin deliberations.
