Lee County-- An Albany teen has been charged in that fatal gas-drive off in Lee County yesterday.
18-year-old Rico Redding of Albany was killed when he drove in front of a white truck while fleeing Homerun Foods on US 19 after taking just $12.00 dollars in gasoline.
Redding's friend, 18-year-old Lamontrey Williams, was driving the other car involved, accused of stealing $9.00 dollars in gasoline, then quickly leaving the gas station first.
Williams' mother turned him into Lee County authorities late last night. He is charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and driving without paying for gasoline.
The injured passenger in Redding's vehicle, 18-year-old Danparion Billings, is recovering from injuries.
