Valdosta - Some South Georgians enjoyed an early Thanksgiving feast Tuesday.

The Valdosta Housing Authority treated all of its residents to turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings. Students from Valwood School and Valdosta Mayor John Fretti helped serve more than 400 people.

"Its just in appreciation for them being our residents throughout the year, we get a lot of good community support and we want to repay them," said Mark Stalvey, Housing Authority Director.

Residents from Ora Lee West Housing Authority and Hudson Dockett took part in the Thanksgiving lunch.
