Early run-off voting underway

November 15, 2004

Albany-Early voting for the November 23rd run-off election began Monday.

Statewide, voters will cast ballots for the State Court of Appeals. The race is between Debra Bernes and Howard Mead.

Voters will be able to cast ballots at the Dougherty County elections board through Friday.

"Early voting will probably be as heavy as it will at the polls. I would think people would continue to take advantage of going in and voting particularly since the election is the week of Thanksgiving," says elections supervisor Carolyn Hatcher.

If you chose to wait and cast your ballot on election day, elections officials say all precincts will be open and you should report to your regular polling place.
