GBI identifies fifth murder victim

MOULTRIE - The fifth victim in the Colquitt County quintuple homicide was identified Friday morning as 30-year-old Liliana Alegria Aguilar. The identification was made by a relative from North Carolina.

Ms. Aguilar had been staying with the Resendez family for the past two months. Prior to moving to Colquitt County, she had lived in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Autopsies confirmed that all five victims died from gun shot wounds. Three died from multiple wounds and two from single.

The identities of the other four of the victims are as follows: Katerina Darlene Resendez, age 29, Jaime Cruz Resendez, age 25 ,Juan Carlos Resendez, age 3, Betty Watts, age 50, of Norman Park.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office (229-616-7430) or the GBI (1-800-597-TIPS).
