Albany -- Construction problems at Albany's New Law Enforcement center could delay the project's opening by more than a month.

ATI President Tommy Chatman says an underground water main and utility lines in the way of construction have caused minor delays.

The $14.5 million project was slated to open in January.

"It was discovered that there was a major water main that was to close to the surface for a certain part of the project to be built," says Chatmon.

Chatman says recent storms have also added to the delay.
