Nashville - Another politician is switching parties.

State Representative Penny Houston of Nashville is the third South Georgia Democrat to switch parties this week. She won the election with about 80 percent of the vote, and says people vote for the person, not the party.

"Its just a letter by my name, I'm still the same person as I was as a Democrat, and I'm going to vote and do what's best for my district," said Houston.

The Republicans now have a 99-member majority in the 180-member House.
