Valdosta - Some South Georgia students learned how to take care of their pearly whites Tuesday.

Dental Hygiene and Assisting students at Valdosta Technical College treated second graders from Lowmax Pinevale School to free dental sealants. The students also watched educational cartoons and listened to presentations on good oral hygiene.

"If we can prevent decay from these student early on, then hopefully we will get them to a point where they will not need fillings," said Renee Graham, Dental Instructor.

Valdosta Technical College hopes to make the sealant clinic an annual event.
