Moultrie- City officials dedicated the new Moultrie Police department Sunday afternoon.
The new First Street location has a weight room, briefing room, kitchen and sleeping quarters for the officers.
"It gives us an opportunity to be in the heart of the community. It gives us an opportunity to connect, and that's what we're looking to do become a partner with this community," says Chief Frank Lang.
The new police department was completely paid for by sales tax money and took exactly one year to build.
