Mitchell County-- Two deadly wrecks in Mitchell County this weekend. The first accident happened around 8 o'clock Friday night on Dixon Highway.

Investigators say 42 year-old Teddy Charles Jones Sr., of Pelham, was speeding down the highway when he lost control of his car. The car ran off the road and hit a tree. Jones died instantly. No one else was hurt in the crash.

The other accident happened around 1 AM Saturday morning on Highway 300. Troopers have not released the details or the names of the victim in that crash.
