November 4, 2004

Albany-- In high school football, Westover cornerback/wide receiver Aairon Savage is this week's Orthopaedic Associates/The Spine and Brain Center player of the week.

Dr. Glenn Williams making the plaque presentation to Aairon who sparked an incredible comeback for the Patriots last week at Worth County.

Aairon Savage caught three passes, one for a touchdown, had six tackles on defense and returned a punt for a touchdown as the Patriots prepared for their second straight trip to the state playoffs.

"Really, it is giving all the honor to the team because really they came out and played hard in the second half which made this possible. So, this is really like a team award," said Savage.

Aairon Savage has committed to sign with the Auburn Tigers before this season started. Westover hopes to continue their season with a win at Thomson in the first round of the AAA state playoffs Friday night.
