Lee County-- Developers say Sunday alcohol sales will help attract new restaurants and motels.

There are only four restaurants, including El Maya's, that serve alcohol now. But more could take a second look at the county, as Sunday sales is one component these type of businesses consider when coming to a community.

Lee County Chamber Director Winston Oxford says, "I think that will be one of the many factors that will contribute and help restaurants and hotels take a look at our community."

Oxford says one restaurant that is closed on Sunday is considering opening on that day now that the alcohol sales referendum passed.
