Lakeland - A South Georgia student is arrested for taking a gun to school.

Last Thursday, a Lanier County student told a teacher that the 15-year-old boy was hiding the gun in his pants. Administrators quickly removed him from the classroom and confiscated the 25 caliber handgun, which was not loaded.

The student has been charged with possession of a weapon on school property and theft by receiving because the gun was stolen.

He's at the Regional Youth Detention Center in Waycross.
