Money coming to Sheriff

Albany - Dougherty County commissioners hold up their end of a legal settlement with the Sheriff. Monday, commissioners agreed to put $167,500 into the Sheriff's Budget. That's half of the $330,000 commissioners originally cut from the budget which lead to the lawsuit. The suit was settle last week, stipulating the money was allocated.

The Sheriff told commissioners he had 1,500 warrants that needed to be served and some of the money will pay for the salaries of two warrant officers.
