VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) _ Fabian Walker passed for 239 yards and three touchdowns to lead Valdosta State to a 45-to-28 victory over Southern Arkansas today. It's the eighth victory in a row for the Blazers.
Walker, who connected on 26 of 34 passes, had scoring passes of 9 yards to Clay Callaway, 5 yards to Rod Dalton and 25 yards to Bama Adams. The Blazers (8-1, 8-0 Gulf South Conference) took a 38-to-14 halftime lead over the Muleriders (4-6, 2-6) and were never in serious trouble after that.
Vincent Brown scored on runs of 12 and 2 yards for the Blazers and Tyran Robinson, who ran for 89 yards, added a 30-yard TD run on a fake field goal.
Damian Melancon hit on 12 of 23 passes for 237 yards, including a 35-yard scoring pass to Keundric Loucious, and added 121 yards rushing, including three touchdowns on short runs.
