Albany- All six of William Thomas's U.S. History classes have been following the presidential election closely.

It has become so important to them that they're asking registered voters to sign a pledge sheet promising to exercise their right to vote.

"I think that's amazing that we have people that are not even voting age and they understand the significance of this election so much to the point that they're going out and they're hitting the pavement and they're going out that they're impacting this election by getting people to commit to voting. They're saying hey this thing is important to me, you need to vote," says Thomas.

So far, the students have about 500 pledges to cast ballots. They hope to have at least 1,000 by Tuesday afternoon.
