Thomasville-- The number of people who die from breast cancer is on a decline. The main reason for that is early detection, through regular Mammograms.

One South Georgia group wants to make sure that trend continues by increasing breast cancer awareness.

It's a very serious disease, but early detection is the best protection. Some activities going on to promote breast cancer awareness. One is going on right here, where a group from Archbold Women's Center is "Chalking the Walk" in order to remember those who have died, and honor survivors of breast cancer.

You can join them by simply coming downtown and participating, but if you can't make it -- you can Wear it Pink Friday. That's the reason for the wild wigs some participants are sporting.
