Trick or treat on the square plans

October 27, 2004

Nashville - Trick or treaters will hit the streets in Nashville Thursday night.

The Better Hometown committee is holding its annual Trick or Treat on the square from 6 to 8:00. More than 30 merchants will be handing out candy around the courthouse.

There will also be a costume contest and Fall Festival at First Baptist Church.

"We've been doing this event for about 12 years and its a very successful event and so much fun for the children, and our merchants are so wonderful to support this event," said Dawn Morrison, Better Hometown Coordinator.

Last year, more than 1,000 kids took part in trick or treat on the square. Organizers are expecting an even bigger crowd this year.
