Albany- A group of Russian farmers learned about southwest Georgia's River system Wednesday.
The farmers are from different regions of Russia. They've been in south Georgia for a couple of weeks learning about agri-business here. They're part of a productivity enhancement program that matches up Russians with Americans who work in the same kind of business.
"They are learning new technologies, marketing systems. A lot of information about how a market economy is working here in the United States, said Andrey Kutuzovk, a translator with the group.
The South Georgians who are hosting the farmers will also take them to Florida because many have never visited a beach.
