Americus- It's a disturbing scene, what's on the surveillance video tape from a robbery in Americus Monday night.
WALB News Ten showed the tape of the brutal beating of the two store clerks to help police catch the men.
So many people who saw it called Americus police with tips that those investigators tracked down the suspects Tuesday night. They arrested 30-year old Anthony Bridges, 28-year old Trevor Hart, 25-year old Bobby Williams and 24-year old Lakendrick Johnson.
With the help of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and Edison Police Department, Americus police found the men at Dismuke Trailer Park in Edison.
Three suspects show up in the surveillance video taken yesterday afternoon at the Flash Foods on Highway 49 in Americus. Two women employees are recovering at home from severe bruises and lacerations.
Only one of the robbers actually punched and kicked the women, but all four suspects are charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
Tuesday night, police wouldn't say which man they think beat the women or whether the suspects could be responsible for other crimes. They are relieved the men are in the Sumter County jail and they thank the people who helped put them there.
