Men use dead man's identity to buy car

Thomasville - James Mills and Bernard George of Thomasville are charged with using the social security number and birth date of a dead Colquitt man to purchase a Ford Expedition from Thomasville Honda in January of 2003.

Lt. Tim Watkins of the Thomas Co. Sheriff's Department says, "The salesman at Thomasville Honda and the customer had fraudulently used the victim's identity records to obtain a vehicle."

Mills and George were charged with theft by deception. They have been released on bond from the Thomas County Jail.
