Doles- Red oak Baptist Church in Doles was founded in 1854.

Monday the church reunited members over the age of 75 and those who have been members more than 50 years.

"It's just great to know there's been people concerned enough about the Lord's work to keep a building and a church and a community going for 150 years," says Hilda Dykes.

"We always had some good preachers, a lot of good members and it was a real good church to go to," adds Brooks Giddens.

Red Oak is the oldest baptist church in Worth County. It's history book was added to the state archive in August. The church will hold a 150th anniversary celebration November 7th.
