Florence, AL.--Fabian Walker's one yard touchdown run with 32 seconds to go capped off a tremendous fourth quarter for the Valdosta State Blazers and a 24-20 come from behind victory over North Alabama Saturday night.
Walker, who finished the night 14 for 26 for 205 yards and one touchdown, brought the Blazers back from a 10-3 deficit to win their seventh straight game. VSU trailed 13-3 in the fourth quarter after a 38 yard field goal by UNA's Beau Tanner but Adel native Vincent Brown returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to pull the Blazers within three points, 13-10.
Walker then gave VSU their first lead of the night on a 22 yard touchdown strike to William Milton that put the Blazers up 17-13. The Lions however came right back on a 47 yard run by DeMarcus Blount. Blount finished the night with 124 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Trailing 20-17 with just over four and a half minutes to play, Walker led the Blazers on a eleven play, 78 yard drive capped off by his one yard run to put the Blazers up for good, 24-20.
The win improves VSU to 7 and 1 overall and 7 and 0 in the Gulf South Conference. The Blazers host Southern Arkansas next Saturday in Valdosta.
