Albany - It was a scary surprise for an Albany driver. A trailer came loose from a truck and collided into his pickup.

The crash happened around 11:00AM on the Liberty By-pass near Jefferson Street. 71 year-old Billy Hutchinson of Leesburg was driving east when the trailer he was hauling came loose. It crossed the median and slammed into Rudolph Hines' pick-up truck, sending the truck into the guard rail.

Hines and a passenger suffered minor injures and were taken to the hospital. Hutchinson was charged with failure to secure a load and other traffic offenses.
