Man arrested for armed robberies

Valdosta - A South Georgia man is arrested for a string of armed robberies.

Police say 32-year-old Adrian Riley robbed the Enmark Station, Big Foot Travel Center, the Jolly Inn and the Shell Station in Valdosta between October 3rd and October 13th.

He's in the Lowndes County jail charged with four counts of armed robbery.

No one was hurt in any of the robberies.

    The man convicted of ambushing a Valdosta Police officer in 2016 was sentenced Monday morning to 10 years, for attempted murder.

    Albany Utilities has occupied the 207 Pine Ave. building since the late 70s, but utility leaders say it’s time to move on. Stephen Collier, Assistant City Manager of Utilities, told WALB News 10 that the current building is no longer in shape to do business.
