Dougherty County- More than 700 dogs signed up for the two-day American Kennel Club Dog Show. This is the 47th year the competition has been hosted by the Thronateeska Kennel Club.

The show is open to all breeds, and canines compete for the top spot for both looks and obedience.

"We have a good selection of all the breeds. There may be only one or two, and I think our largest entry may be 22 bulldogs. There's a lot of dogs out here," says show chairperson Phyllis Crumb.

The second half of the American Kennel dog show will be held at Potter Community Center Sunday in Dougherty County. It's open to the public.
